Prior to moving permanently to the Charleston, SC area in 2000, Phil lived and worked in the Midwest and New England. Before becoming a mortgage banker in 2002 he spent over 2 decades running nonprofit housing agencies that developed and managed affordable housing, renovated neighborhoods and facilitated homeownership. Phil and his wife, Sue, have four children, three are in college or grad school and one is in high school. He is active in his church choir and as a "coach" with area Special Olympics and related programs where his some is a participant.
