I did a loan modification and come to find out the company is no longer in business and is closing their doors, the attorney is not going to continue his work on the loan mod becasue he is not going to get paid from the company becasue "they have no money" Any suggestions on what I can/should do?

Been in process for 1 yearCompany told me last week they are no longer in business and shutting downThey opened up under another name but say it has nothing to do with the old company and I am out of luckThe attorney was not paid yet so he is not going to continue with the process.any thoughts what I should/could do? You may want to contact your states Financial Department, they may be able to refer you to a reputable modification company. Best of Luck.Christina Solorzano;First Financial Group TN LLP888-546-7570 X101123ffg.com
