a mortgage lender is not going to do a loan that small in size. you should look at local finance companies who specialize in smaller loans with collateral like yours. The rates are higher but because it is a mobile home, it is more difficult to find someone to lend against them. You may be better off if you had a low rate ccard to draw against to meet the needs you have right now. Oct 27th 2011

There are very few lenders that will do a loan for a mobile home. My suggestion would be to look for a local credit union or community bank. If they cannot (or will not) help you, then you may be forced to try a finance company. Rates and fees at a finance company will be higher, but that may be your only source. Good luck Oct 27th 2011

For a real estate loan you have to have real estate. If you own the mobile home but not the land, then no, you cannot get a mortgage. If you also own the land it is sitting on and If your mobile home is not attached to the property (engineer certification required) then you can get a real estate loan (mortgage). If you do not own the land, but just the mobile home, there might be some local banks that do title loans. WilliamAcres.com Oct 27th 2011 |
