Please seek legal advice in short Louisiana uses a community property system where you will need to sign off on it, unless you moved there within i year from a non-community property state. Good Luck need residential financing or refinancing I can be reached at ballen@accssnational.com. Dec 4th 2011

I spoke with a Louisiana Title Attorney and they confirmed that in Louisiana inheritance is considered separate property. If the property is sold the assets acquired are also considered separate property. The only community property could come from rental income derived from the property during ownership. You should definitely seek your own legal counsel for more information and specifics on your situation. Call any title company in your area. Dec 5th 2011 |
