Both answers below are incorrect. Some lenders have overlays to the VA guidelines that are additional requirements above & beyond what the VA requires. Depending on your lender, you may or may not have to meet these additional requirements.

No, there are no extra requirements other than the ones you needed to qualify for your VA loan to begin with. Your home will need to appraise for the appropriate value. Were you interested in refinancing with a specific lender? You are not required to use the same one if you don't want to. You will need to use a lender that handles VA loans.
