no qualifying at all. The mortgage is given to someone based on their equity and their age and that is all. Sometimes if a house has deferred maintenence, the house needs to have some work done in order for it to qualify. So, it is easier to get a reverse mortgage than a normal mortgage as long as you have enough equity and your old enough. I have a freed CD I can mail you if you call or email me (866) 385-1650 or hans@hansblog.com

Aloha Sandy,Income and credit are not used as qualification factors. The only requirements are that they own the home they wish to stay in, that they are over 62 and that they have adequate equity. Based on the age of the youngest borrower, the approximate equity needed would be about 35%. Therefore, a reverse mortgage is uusally easier to get approved compared to forward/conventional mortgages these days! ^_^ AND because it's a non-recourse loan, they can never owe more than the appraised value and can never be foreclosed on (as long as they keep the taxes and insurance paid, and the house reasoanbly maintained). Please feel free to call and in less than 10 minutes I can tell you exactly how much they are entitled to. Please provide me with their birth dates, the zip code, the approximate value and the current lien amount.Warmest Regards,Daniel NicolosiSr. Mortgage ConsultantReverse Mortgage SpecialistOffice: (808) 945-3000 x4Toll -Free (888) 532-5642 x4Cell: (808) 372-1026www.AlohaMortgageSolutions.comDanielN@CRL1.com

Hi Sandy! No, they do NOT need good credit nor do they need income to qualify for a reverse mortgage. This loan is specifically designed for elderly to access the equity in their home. With a Reverse Mortgage, they do NOT need to make a payment on the mortgage as long as they live in this home. They ARE responsible for the taxes and insurance as it comes do. It will NOT affect their Social Security or Medicare benefits. Please email me, with a couple of quick questions, you and I could determine their options. Please email me at Affloans@aol.com, you can leave your contact info or call me at 808.327.1969.
