understanding va loans in floridaTuesday, November 27, 2007 - Article by: scott daniels -
Lately, I have been advertising to veterans who are seeking affordable housing. These buyers in particular seem very eager to purchase condos that range from $80-$160K. We spoke last week to a group of Vets who were curious how we felt about condo conversions. They wanted to know the 411 on what we thought. With all the incentives these condominiums offer its a great time to seek a V/A Loan. Many have been sitting on the sidelines, they explained waiting to buy! Home prices have adjusted to levels of affordability, which hasnt been seen in a very long time. With prices retracing 2004 levels, its really a "No Brainer" to begin seriously looking to purchase. Rents are ranging between $1100-$1500 for a 2bedroom,2bath for Condos or Townhomes. Its clear youre throwing money away by assisting someone with a mortgage payment. When you add it up spending $15,000-$18,000 a year doesnt make sense, especially when financing a V/A loan. Back to the group of Veterans. They are definitely in the market for new homes. Currently, these vets are seeking condos in Broward County. It does appear the market is slowly picking up. ***I will be holding a seminar for Veterans in the beginning of January for all those who are seeking to purchase!
