 Helena is the capital city of Montana. This is a smaller city of roughly twenty five thousand residents. This is a lovely city with small town feel.  The second largest city in Montana is Missoula. Missoula boasts a population of over fifty thousand residents.  This city is home to the University of Montana. The University has around fifteen thousand students at a given semester. Missoula was first inhabited by Native Americans and the first white settlers opened up a trading post in the area. Two mills were built nearby and the town began to develop and grow from there.  This is a very popular place for hunting and fishing.

The town of Butte Montana has a colorful past. In its heyday, it was home to saloons and a famous red light district.
