are usda loans available in maryland?

i cannot find any approved areas. i have fico 731 and own my own business which requires me to garden. i dont know if this would qualify as a "commerical farm" and disqualify me by nichole1.hita562788 from Spencerville, Maryland. Feb 6th 2015 Reply

try this site, just let the map load then zoom in to Md. There are areas, you just cany buy a lot of land, residential uses only - but you can garden http://eligibility.sc.egov.usda.gov/eligibility/welcomeAction.do?pageAction=sfp&NavKey=property@11

Phil gave you USDA's website where you can look up to see the approved areas.. and as far as gardening.. there's a huge difference between gardening and farming.. but regardless, if you intend on living on the property (USDA is only owner occupied), then what you do with the land after your loan closes and you own the property is your business, so long as you continue to live there... I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. I believe their available in every state as long as the property is in a USDA approved area. Here is the link to check the propertyhttp://eligibility.sc.egov.usda.gov/eligibility/welcomeAction.do

USDA loans are great zero down payment loans, but have income and location restrictions. I do a lot of USDA loans in MN, WI, and SD - you can check location and income eligibility for anywhere in the nation at www.JoeMetzler.com/usda
