Can I get a r-m on my home zoned R2a and my home reclassified as legal non-compliant?

What? I think you want to check with your county where the residence is and not with mortgage brokers/bankers. I will say you might want to be ready with:1. Street address2. Nearest cross street3. Assessor's Parcel Number (APN number if available)Legal non-compliant as in: faulty work, inadequate final work, poor quality work, shabby work, wrong implementation? Well, again check with the County.

More info needed, but I would suggest you contact a local RM experienced loan officer.. try to avoid the "nationwide lenders" or "internet" lenders.. they will most likely tell you yes just to get you to sign up.. I refer all my reverse mortgages to two colleagues. It never dawned on me that r- mwas reverse mortgage late yesterday when I answered your question. All I could see was legal non-compliant which I have little experience with and asked what it meant. I saw someone responded with no profile on the website who obviously does reverse mortgages. I recommend you get more than one opinion. Also, there are differences in rates/pricing on reverse mortgages.
