Can to unmarried people qualify for mortgage?

Absolutely.. qualifying would be almost identical as if you were married. You income will be combined and your debt will be combined to calculate your debt to income ratios.. there is one exception though.. the paperwork will have to be separate.. meaning one application from you and one from the other person vs. one application with both borrowers on it if you were married.. But everything today is done electronically, so it's really not a big deal for the lender to do two files for the same purchase.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. Now that you are aware the answer is yes, you will want to get qualified and a comparison of loan options available to you from an experienced knowledgeable mortgage broker or banker. Many of the mortgage reps answering questions on this website are of from a mortgage brokerage or mortgage bank and many as do we, have both the ability to fund their own loans yet shop per the best rates.
