I bought my house 8 months ago. The current value is higher now, compared to the purchase price. Can I use the current value?

Yes, if you are looking to refinance and use the new value that is typically allowed after you have owned the property for at least 6 months. By refinancing you may be able to lower or eliminate Mortgage Insurance if you have it, or take advantage of today's low interest rates. Let me know if I can assist you as I am located in Fairfax VA.
