My guess is that you probably started by applying online.. If this is the case, somewhere in the small print on the "Agreement", you indicated that you understood your information is being sold. The only way to stop this is to contact the original online company you applied with and make a formal request to stop. Understand that certain websites you go to where you think you are just trying to get some basic info, is actually a "Lead Capture" site.. Zillow is a perfect example.. They capture your info and then sell it to realtors and loan officers. Most independent lenders (like myself) do not transfer or sell your information.. If you ever wondered why sometimes online lenders can offer you a little better rate, well there's your answer.. after they are done with you.. they have all your information.. income, addresses, job time, types of obligations you have etc.. that information is valuable.. and it's sold countless times. If you are looking for a loan, i'd be happy to put together a quote for you.. and I promise, I will never hound you or sell of your info. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / LendUS, NMLS 1938/ AZMB0121893
