What happens to the mortgage if what?If someone with joint ownership dies? The surviving owner still owes the total amount. The mortgage will survive all owners if not already paid in full by their death.

It's best you contact an attorney for a direct response to your exact scenario, but in general.. It's exactly as stated.. if someone dies, then the surviving owner will obtain ownership..it enables couples to transfer the properties deed without having to go through probate.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
