Lender mismanaged our escrow account

Sadly, our lender has mismanaged our escrow account. We’ve given them a chance to fix it but to no avail. They sent the payment of our wind and flood insurance to the wrong address. The insurance company cashed the check and the lender promised that they would get it back for us. We paid $3k insurance once more for the right address. This was 6 months ago. I am sorry to hear that your loan servicer has messed up your escrow payments. If the property is in Texas, you can file a complaint with both the CFPB (Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, a federal regulatory agency at www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint and toll-free at 1-855-411-2372, and also with the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending. From their website at www.sml.texas.gov I found a toll-free number of 1-877-276-5550. contact the lender again and again and again ...contact the loan officer that helped with the loan ..contact the insurance compnay that cashed the check ...contact your insurance compnay and demand / ask them to contact the ins firm that cashed the check and the lender . once this is fixed - consider contactting the present lender / servicer and ask them to drop the escrow account and then handle paying the taxes and insurance direcelty yourselves
