When it comes to conforming financing, (Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA)they all have mandatory waiting periods before you can finance after a major credit event such as a BK. However, there are programs that allow you to do a cash out refinance now ( I have several).. but the terms are not the best.. The goal would be to do a cash out now, then once you pass the mandatory seasoning period, you can do a rate and term refinance to get out of the higher priced loan. Let me know if you want me to put together some numbers for you... I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / LendUS, NMLS 1938/ AZMB0121893
