received into to foreclose on 2nd mortgage after 6 years of non payment. How should I respond?

Much more info needed to answer your question. Do you still own the home? Are you still living there? Is the first mortgage current? But in general, if you owe them, you should make arraignments to get them paid.. New laws mandate that they have to work with you to help you avoid foreclosure. The one thing you shouldn't do is ignore the notice. You need to evaluate your situation and see what's in your best interest.. Save the home, and bring the loan current? Sell the home?? Let the home get foreclosed???.. Its' possible that they will accept less than what is owed. but typically, they will want a full financial assessment from you before considering any offer.
