County records should be able to identify how many units the property has.

A unit refers to the number of separate living areas in a building or on a property. An example is, an apartment complex with 4 separate living areas would be known as a 4 unit apartment. Units refer to individual residences.. single family home is a "one unit" property.. duplex is a "two unit property", tri-plex, 4-plex, etc.. Loan pricing is higher for 2, 3 & 4 units.. vs. a single family home.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
