There are many programs that offer different types of first-time home buyer assistance. Our company, InterLinc Mortgage Services, based in downtown New Orleans is one of the approved lenders offering up to 3% down payment assistance with several varying loan programs through the Louisiana Housing Corporation. For more information about some of their programs, click here: link for the full list of approved lenders with LHC is here: Hope this helps!Alex Shafirovich, Mortgage Loan Specialistalex@lendnola.comNMLS

Pretty much everyone. The most popular is using a standard FHA loan, and then getting a state, or county assistance program for down payment assistance. Most of these programs require you to still put some money of your own for down payment, and then will loan you the balance of your down payment. As these vary greatly by state and location, contact a mortgage broker in your area for more information. In MN, visit for down payment assistance.
