More info needed.. typically, you don't get medical "Judgement s".. you get medical collections.. For all conforming loan guidelines, judgement's must be paid,, collections do not necessarily need to be paid.. and certain lending program ignore medical collections all together.. but regardless of the program, any collection, medical or otherwise, will lower your credit score.. so if the addition of a recent medical collection lowers your score below the acceptable credit score requirement, then yes.. it could prevent you from obtaining financing. Or, if in fact you do have a medical "Judgment", then that too will prevent you from obtaining financing.. I'm a preferred Lender with California and Arizona being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 NMLS# 226347 / RPM Mortgage NMLS 1541014 / AZMB0121893

Hi Lee.sarah409,If it's a true judgment, yes it can stop you from getting a mortgage. For an FHA mortgage, you'll need to set up a payment plan & pay on it for 3 months before you'll be eligible. The other option would be to pay it off. Please feel free to contact me for more information or help. | John Burke | Senior Mortgage Banker | Great Plains Bank | | (877)228-9069 | Lending in ALL 50 states
