Where are mortgage rates headed?

Thursday, February 10, 2011 - Article by: Steve Cooley - Sooner Lending - Message

As the stock market rises and signs of economic recovery keep coming in, so comes inflation. Inflation = Rising interest rates. The Feds have been consistently saying that inflation will remain low for an "extended time". They have been saying this for quite some time and I'm afraid the "extended time" is nearing it's end. I believe we have seen the end of rates below 5% and rates will continue to gradually climb over the coming weeks & months. If you are in the market to purchase a home or refinance, I would seriously consider starting that process NOW & LOCKING YOUR RATE!
