Are mortgage rates going to go up or down tomorrow? The answer is foreshadowed by yesterday's volatile rate changes, which ended with rates back in an almost identical position to where they started. Rates were expected to move quickly after yesterday's Fed announcement, which they did. Rates now await the results of Friday's employment data. Experts predict rates could soar back up to the highs reached July 5, or may even fall back down into the low 4s. In general, rates are expected to rise throughout the later half of 2013.

The 30 year fixed rate mortgage best execution rate is 4.48%, unchanged from Monday. The 52-week high is 4.73%.

The 15 year fixed rate mortgage best execution rate held steady at 3.67%. The 52-week high is 3.83%.

The FHA 30 year fixed rate mortgage best execution rate remained fixed at 4.25%.

The Jumbo 30 year fixed rate mortgage best execution rate posted the only change, slipping downwards by 0.01% to 4.52%.

The 5/1 year Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM) best execution is 3.25%, below the 52-week high of 3.37%.
