If you’re a veteran and you live in the state of Wyoming, you should consider taking advantage of a specialized loan program called the Wyoming VA loan to fund your home purchase or refinance. Loans of this nature are available only to veterans who have served in the US Armed Services. All VA loans are backed by the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).

The government, through the VA Department, created the VA loan program in order to help veterans purchase and refinance their homes. Many veterans aren’t able to save up money or develop high paying careers while serving in the military, and this loan option helps these brave men and women move into homeownership positions as veterans.
Private lenders supply all VA loans, not the VA itself. The VA simply guarantees the loans, reducing the risk that lenders take on. This is what allows lender to give veterans such good rates and terms.
A list of some of the most valuable benefits offered to veterans through the VA loan program is included here.
If you have basic veteran status, you meet the qualifications for a VA loan. Basic veteran status in terms of the VA loan program is defined as 90 days of continuous active duty in a branch of the US Armed Services without dishonorable discharge.
You should also possess a minimum credit score of 620.
If this is you, contact your local VA office to get a certificate of eligibility (COE). Use this to work with your VA loan specialist to prove that you qualify.
You can use a VA loan to refinance your current mortgage through a Wyoming VA Streamline refinance, or VA IRRRL. The Streamline refinance program cuts out some of the paperwork you typically have to fill out during a refinance. It also eliminates some of the fees associated with the refinance.
Another option is the VA Cash-Out refinance, which enables borrowers to access up to 100% of their home equity and spend it on medical bills, home improvements, tuition and more. Veteran homeowners whose mortgage are backed by an entity other than the VA may refinance into a VA mortgage using the Cash-Out program.
You’ll need to conduct some thorough research to find out what mortgage rates are available to you in the marketplace today. Contact as many different lenders in your part of Wyoming as you can and find out what rates they’re offering. Try to secure one of the lowest mortgage rates you can for your VA loan.
At the top of this page you’ll see a form. Fill this out and we’ll match you with up to four lenders in your area. These lenders can assist you through the home purchase process and help you fund your VA loan. Make sure you ask about VA loan limits. Find out more information from the Department of Veteran Affairs.
